How to make an I Spy picture frame.

I'm in love with this craft. Isn't it fun when a craft turns out better then you thought it would.

We took out this book "Make it" from the library and it's awesome. I actually took it out last year but we didn't get around to doing anything in the book. I did scan some pages but never got back to it. So when I saw it again in the library I pick it up.
One of the crafts in the book is a frame made out of all the old plastic pieces you have lying around the house. So I went around collecting anything colourful I could find; little plastic toys (especially anything broken), hair clips and elastics that we don't use, buttons, silly bands, beads, pom poms, bottle caps and anything colourful that we don't need.
Then we sorted them by colour - both girls had fun with this.
While they were sorting I made a frame out of cardboard. I made it so it would fit an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper in the centre with a 4 1/2" boarder.

Then we arranged by colour around a piece of paper to make sure we had enough. Then we layed them out on the cardboard. After we figured out what looked best I got out the glue gun and glued everything down. The silly bands didn't like the glue gun, so I used white glue which they don't really like either - they are staying on but you can't touch them or they will probably fall off.
I originally thought it would be just a funky frame but then it reminded me of those I Spy books and we started to play I Spy with it - I see 3 dinosaurs, the letter e and teeth - or how many hearts do you see?

And while I was gluing it all together the kids played with the rest of the cardboard box.

  9. I am looking for a good perth picture framing with a reasonable price. I have visited some of the stores but they all were so costly which are beyond my budget. So If anyone can suggest some , it would be a really help.
