How to bake with kids

This isn't the first time I've baked with Lilo but when ever we do it's fun and a little frustrating. It's hard to let go and let her do it her way.
I took out this book - Baking with Tots from the library so we made our first recipe this afternoon.
We made these shortbread stars - they didn't turn out as pretty as the picture but she had fun putting sprinkles on them - as she said the sprinkles are crunchy :)
So we'll see what we'll make next.
