How to make super yummy chocolate/peanut butter/banana smoothie

This is my something cool for today. Lilo woke up from her nap saying she wanted to make something. This usually means something out of her cookbook, which can be fun but all the recipes are super sweet and I've eaten enough chocolate for a year these past few days. So I remembered that I froze some banana with the peel removed to make smoothies.

I decided to check out the baby food cookbook I have as I remembered it had smoothie recipes in it and I found this Nutty Choco smoothie and boy was it good. I didn't follow exactly since I didn't measure anything but it was close.

My blender is broken so I made in my food processor.

1 frozen banana in 1" chunks (recipe just called for a banana)

1 scoop of peanut butter (recipe called for smooth, I used chunky)

1/2 cup of crushed ice

a bit less than 1 cup of milk (I used 2% - they called for chocolate soy milk)

couple of squirts of chocolate syrup (since I used white milk)

Then I just blended until it was fairly smooth. There was still some small ice bits in it but it had the consistency of soft serve ice cream - which would depend on the amount of milk you put it. Boy was it yummy, we all liked it, I will try it again.

It was a fun, easy and a healthy version of ice cream. Watch out it melts fast and gets really messy.
